I became an apprentice in year 10, shortly after losing my beloved Nan who knew my passions lay in creating and inspiring. She encouraged me to look into hairdressing, telling me lots of stories of her journey as an apprentice hairdresser. Her faith and belief in me led me on a journey to my lifelong passion of hairdressing. When I started I found the industry had a brutal side especially as a teenager being told I didn't have what it took and wasn't good enough. But I responded by striving harder than ever and proving to myself that I did.
I worked with every hair type in a variety of salon environments until I perfected my craft and found my path. When I launched Studio Jaye it was with a mission to ensure the environment I created was a haven for staff and clients, built on foundations of kindness and the highest level of service.
